does a rubbermaid shed need a foundation
Showing you how to make a foundation base for an outdoor shed. we made it for a rubbermaid roughneck 7x7 storage shed. item # 551125 model # 1887153 at lowes.. I got pea gravel and spread it onto bare ground after i raked it. i have had my shed for 4 years. it is not sinking. ymmv but i don't think you need to lay a concrete surface. on older, wood sheds it was recommended due to rot, but in a rubbermaid shed i don't think it is necessary.. The rubbermaid roughneck is a line of high-density plastic sheds. they install much like a big puzzle. the key to installing the shed and having the door work properly is to locate the shed on a level surface. the best way to level the ground for a storage shed of this type is to use crushed stone.. does a rubbermaid shed need a foundation
Small sheds can be rested on crushed stone with either treated wood foundations or concrete foundation blocks. large sheds will need to have strong foundations. considering backyard buildings smallest shed size is 8
